a valid password). It can also be used to restart the system with the relevant conguration
(see Figure 4.12).

e following are possible states for Status of current conguration:
e conguration has been modied but not saved.
e current conguration is saving.
e current conguration is equal to the one saved in the non-volatile memory of the
switch.
e current conguration was saved.
Note
If the new configuration is not activated by a reset after a configuration download,
the Save current configuration command overwrites the previously loaded configu-
ration and instead saves the active configuration of the managed switch.
is option can be used to reset the switch to its default settings (default upon delivery) by
entering a valid password (see Figure 4.13).

Note
Web-based management can only be called using a valid IP address. Once the switch
has been reset to its default settings, it has no valid IP address.
